Munjya (2024) -The purpose of the fourth movie in Dinesh Vijan’s alleged “horror universe” is to further convince us that there is no such thing as a “horror universe” and that they are merely attempting to capitalize on Stree’s kindness. In fact, if they truly care about the “standard,” I would love to see “Stree 2” as the second movie and would want to forget that there were any horror universe films after Stree (2018). After Stree and Bala, Amar Kaushik’s Bhediya was a startling low point, and Munjya now represents still another low point for the horror genre. Roohi didn’t even belong in the universe zone. By the way, what is a scary comedy? It’s about mediocrities like Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 for the audience of today; for a particular group, it’s Stree; for a somewhat older group, it’s Stree.
