I am looking forward to the new Librarians to premiere later this year, or better yet I recommend you all to rewatch the Librarian movies, the Librarians’ TV series, Warehouse 13 or any of the Indiana Jones movies over Memorial Day weekend for enjoyment ’cause you won’t find it here.

It completely lacks all the wonder, suspense, excitement, thrills and laughter that those shows had. Just thinking of Bob Newhart as the old Librarian, stuttering assignments to the new Librarian makes me laugh. If only they had copied anything from these aforementioned shows this would have been redeemable…but no.

There is a tiny bit of chemistry between Kravinsky and Portman as siblings, but absolutely nothing with the rest of the protagonists. The two assistants barely get a couple of lines, and Tucci in this movie? …why? ’cause he just happens to be in Italy(?) and that poor kid….what did the casting call call for? …”boring kid” played by the most lackluster child actor ever. Even the billionaire, the femme fatale, and the CIA detective are the most pathetic boring villains ever. They weren’t scary, all they did was pull out guns and shoot.

And except for the drone shot of the Thailand Buddha, and the Austrian library, the movie didn’t even have the redeeming qualities of good drone-filmed exotic locales.
